Description
Product Information :
Medium Chain Triglycerides is a Pure Source of MCT Oil and it is Used as Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP) under Various Clinical Condition. MCTs Serve as a Great Fat Source for Providing Energy for Those who are Unable to Absorb and Digest Conventional Fat.
MCT Oil is a Ready to Use Mixture of Triglycerides, Mainly Consisting of C8 and C10 Fatty acids. This source of fat is absorbed directly into the portal circulation and does not require the more complex digestion process of Long-Chain Triglycerides (LCT).
Our MCT PRO is Derived from Modified Palm kernel oil in order to minimize the presence of long- chain fatty acids (<1%). Despite the fact that Lauric acid (C12:0) still belongs to the classification of Medium-chain fatty acids, we were able to minimize the presence to <2.5%. For an optimal efficacy, a chain length below 12 carbon is preferred. Our product contains a minimum mixture of 95% caprylic (C8:0) and capric (C10:0) fatty acids.
Our MCT PRO has a very low viscosity, an excellent oxidative stability with essentially No Odor or Flavor. The Molecules are Slightly Polar which makes it dissolvable in a variety of substances. The product contains no trans fatty acids. This product by nature is Lactose-free and Gluten-free.
MCT PRO comes in a 125 ml bottle which is a Smaller size than most products on the market. Especially for Medical Nutrition, it is important to Ensure the Bottle to be used as Short as Possible after opening, to Minimize the Risk of Contamination.

- Excessive intake of oral MCT oil has been associated with gastrointestinal distress (e.g. bloating, cramping, diarrhea). When starting with the product, introduce the MCT oil slowly in the diet.
- For the use in liver disease, it is crucial that the type of disease, the severity of the disease, the dose of the MCT supplementation and the duration of the MCT supplementation has been evaluated. MCTs show clear positive effects in several conditions but since they are processed primarily by the liver, they potentially can cause problems in some liver conditions
